What would social media look like if it respected the time we came to spend?

We open Instagram to see what our friends are doing. We go to YouTube to learn something, follow a creator, or watch a video someone sent us. There is a reason we keep coming back.

Social media isn’t what it used to be. What began as a way to connect can now feel like a hyper-addictive drug, keeping us reaching for another hit of something new.

Sometimes that reason gets lost. A quick check becomes a string of short videos. We close the app having spent longer than we meant to, without doing what we opened it for.

We want staying connected to feel like a choice we make, and finishing to feel just as easy as starting.

What we’re building

Scroll Fix is an iPhone app for using Instagram and YouTube without Reels and Shorts. The idea is simple: keep the people and videos you came for, and remove the short-form feeds that pull you elsewhere.

You shouldn’t have to leave your friends behind to change how you use your phone. You should be able to check in, find what you need, and get on with your day.

We’re building Scroll Fix to give people their precious time back, so they can spend it on the people and things that matter to them.
