Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the ScrollFix iPhone app (the “App”) and the website at www.scrollfixapp.com (the “Website”) handle, and how. ScrollFix is developed and operated by Shayaan Jagtap (“ScrollFix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), who is responsible for the processing described here.

Summary

ScrollFix has no user accounts and no ScrollFix servers. The App does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting software.
Your settings and in-app measurements stay on your iPhone.
Your Instagram and YouTube activity goes directly between your iPhone and those services. ScrollFix does not collect it.
Subscription status is managed by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, using an anonymous identifier.
We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

The App stores the following on your iPhone only. It is not sent to us.

Your settings, including which filters are on, appearance, and onboarding progress.
How long the App is open each day, used to calculate the time-saved estimate shown in the App.
Whether you turned on the free-trial reminder.
If you use app blocking, the apps you selected in Apple’s Screen Time picker. Apple provides these to ScrollFix only as opaque tokens that do not reveal app names or usage.
A random identifier created when the App is installed, kept in your device’s Keychain and used only to keep your app-blocking selection tied to this device.

Instagram and YouTube

ScrollFix opens Instagram and YouTube in an in-app browser. When you use them, your iPhone connects directly to Meta and Google, which receive and process your account, content, and activity under the Meta Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

You sign in on those services’ own pages. Your sign-in cookies and other website data are stored on your iPhone by Apple’s WebKit, in a separate store for each service. To hide Reels, Shorts, advertisements, and suggested posts, the App changes how those pages are displayed on your device. ScrollFix does not read, collect, or transmit your passwords, cookies, messages, posts, browsing history, or other page content.

You can sign out using each service’s own sign-out option. Deleting the App removes this stored website data from your iPhone.

Camera, microphone, and photos

The App may ask for access to your camera, microphone, or photo library only when you choose to upload a photo or video to Instagram or YouTube in the in-app browser. Anything you choose is sent only to that service. ScrollFix does not access, store, or transmit your photos, videos, or recordings. You can change these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings.

Screen Time

If you turn on app blocking, the App uses Apple’s Screen Time framework, with your permission, to shield the apps you select. ScrollFix does not read your Screen Time usage history, and your selections are not sent to us.

Subscriptions and payments

Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. ScrollFix never receives your name, email address, or payment details from Apple.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions. The App sends RevenueCat an anonymous identifier that it generates, your purchase and subscription history, and basic technical information needed to validate purchases, such as the App version, iOS version, and App Store country. We use this information only to provide your subscription, restore purchases, and show subscription status. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you start a free trial and turn on the reminder, the App schedules one local notification on your iPhone two days before the trial ends. It is created and delivered on your device. You can turn notifications off in iPhone Settings.

Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, and we keep it only as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law.

This website

The Website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits, App Store link clicks, header and footer navigation, app-preview openings, and when a guide’s ending becomes visible. Vercel Speed Insights measures page performance. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Custom events include the page path, link placement, and destination path where applicable; we do not send calculator inputs or form contents as custom events. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from page URLs before sending them to either analytics service. It is hosted by Vercel, Inc., which processes standard request information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver and secure the site. Vercel provides aggregated information such as visited pages, referrers, device/browser categories, and approximate location derived from requests. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives similar request information; see Google Fonts privacy information.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not use Apple’s advertising identifier.

Retention and deletion

Information stored on your iPhone remains there until you change it or delete the App. Subscription records held by RevenueCat are kept while you have a subscription and afterward as needed to provide restores and meet legal and accounting obligations. To request deletion of your RevenueCat subscription record, email us at the address below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because ScrollFix does not hold accounts or data linked to your identity, most information about you exists only on your device. To make a request about any information we or RevenueCat hold, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

ScrollFix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ScrollFix changes. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above.
